About Photo Payload
Photo Payload helps people understand what an image file contains, remove information they do not want to share, and prepare a useful output without handing the source image to an application server.

No account is required. Advertising is the planned funding model, with ads kept separate from upload, processing, and download controls.
Images can carry camera settings, timestamps, location data, editing history, software names, AI declarations, color profiles, and signed provenance. Those details are useful, but they are easy to miss when an image is shared.
Photo Payload began as a metadata viewer and cleaner. It now includes dedicated tools for compression, resizing, and format conversion, all built on the same local-processing principle.

Metadata and Content Credentials are reported as embedded evidence. Missing metadata is never presented as proof of an image's origin.
Tools report output format, dimensions, size, metadata handling, and important browser limitations before download.
Selecting an image gives the current browser tab temporary access to that file. Parsing, cleanup, preview generation, resizing, compression, and conversion run locally. Downloaded outputs are created as new files; the original remains unchanged.
The website itself may request fonts, consent tools, analytics, or clearly identified advertising from their providers. These page-level services are separate from image processing and must not receive the image bytes selected for a tool.
